Zumba is the hottest thing that the fitness world has ever seen!  It melds hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic workout system that will have you wanting more and more. Not only is it an incredibly fun and exhilarating calorie-burning, heart-racing, muscle-pumping, booty shaking, and thrill in a one hour class, but you can see how Zumba is  not only good for your body, but also good for the soul!

Dance experience is NOT required.  Only a willingness to leave your inhibitions at home and come have fun.  I realize that a new class can be often be intimidating and so I ensure that I teach/review the steps of the routine before the music comes on.  I find this provides you a better experience in being able to feel comfortable and successful with doing something new such as the Salsa or the Merengue. Being comfortable with the steps lets you add your level of energy/intensity and VOILA! you have a recipe for a fun and out of this world workout!

The great thing I love about Zumba is that it offers various flavors to choose from.  I am certified to teach all of these and find that they ALL provide a fantastic workout.

Zumba® Toning blends body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, strength-training class. The class uses weighted, maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and build strength.
ZumbAtomic® is specifically designed for kids ages 4-12 years old.  Not only do kids get a chance to have fun and move, but it is a great way to develop and enhance brain/muscle coordination. The movements are much simpler and adapted for their age group.  ZumbAtomic® is great for an after school activity as well as an activity that can be done at school during PE or recess.
